Pavilion Hotel & Social Club

Dorcol · Belgrade · Serbia

In the historic heart of Belgrade, a restored 1920s villa brings together a boutique hotel, a restaurant and a design-led listening bar, an address where heritage, gastronomy and sound meet.

The setting

A 1920s villa in Dorcol

Pavilion occupies a stately building dating to the 1920s, the work of the Serbian architect Branislav Kojic, in Dorcol, one of Belgrade's oldest and most characterful neighbourhoods. Reopened in 2024, the hotel pairs intimate boutique rooms with a restaurant and bar that has quickly become a destination in its own right.

The listening bar

Esthetic Joys Embassy

At the heart of the property is a new design-led listening bar, Esthetic Joys Embassy, a 250 square metre space conceived as a curated environment at the intersection of gastronomy, sound and atmosphere. Its interiors were created by the Paris-based art and design studio Supaform, drawing on Yugoslav modernism of the late 1950s and early 1960s.

The room is furnished with bespoke, sculptural pieces: individual listening booths where guests draw a curtain, put on headphones and retreat into the music, vintage JBL studio monitors, a serious vinyl collection, and a custom golden bar beneath a canopy of glowing modernist light fittings.

Sound & cuisine

A curated experience

The culinary direction is led by the Japanese chef Katsuhiko Kobayashi, with a menu of small, shareable plates and signature dishes designed to be paired with cocktails. The musical programme is shaped by a resident team of selectors, with listening sessions and DJ sets that run through the evening.
